It's double covered because the original cover is on it too and I unzipper it in 2 seconds and I'm reading right away. And at home I leave it on table unzippered . It has handle in back and I slip a finger through it and hold the book that way and turn pages with thumb, one handed and if it ever falls it's protected. My thought was I rather be safe than have a pretty cover and a broken screen! But everyone has to decide how they want to play the KEEP IT SAFE game. I just didn't want to kick myself down the road because I didn't do everything I could to protect it. Think GLASS! If the screen was plastic or a harder material I would go PRETTY case. ONE drop and it's all over, does your purse ever drop on the floor from table. I have dropped it going into car with armor case and no problem. It' not like you are always gonna being thinking, "don't drop it" , my mind is on other things, so I need to have something that I don't have to worry , if I drop it. Look at thread on this board about cracked screen and it's expensive to fix. Also it's not like an Iphone or smaller mp3 player/video screen , it's more surface area so you have to be very careful about flexing too. My itouch has a cover but I think the screen is harder material than this sony ereader. Hopefully in future they will have hard plastic-scratch resistant screen , but it's not out yet for these ereaders.

Thank for you for this post. I did get the M-Edge cover and like it a lot, but still feel that it's not very well protected. I really wish I could find a hard clamshell storage case but I am having zero luck. Would you mind posting pictures of your reader in the Armor case?
