I agree that for those who don't care about DRMed formats (and I certainly could not care less about them) the jetBook is a viable alternative. Once OpenInkPot is available for the Hanlin V5, it will still offer some advanced features that might make it a better choice for some over the jetBook. According to the matrix Sony 300 has no SD card slot that is unexactable for me. It looks like Sony tried to make it very cheap...
