Hey, that sounds familiar! Though ours wasn't wild, but was kicked out when he was about a year old (and only now, after a year, does he start to really show affection. But he's heavy and strong and he doesn't know it. He'll butt his head against your chin (copying the other cat) but knocking you out in the process)
And the other is smarter than I thought... I had closed the bedroom door this morning. And the cat wanted to get inside. But I didn't feel like getting up and open the door. So, after about 10 minutes of scratching the door, he left. Only to come to the window and try to get in that way... (we sleep downstairs)
