# 3 gets a firm "no" from me.

As for the role of publishers in an e-market -- I see them as doing more or less what they're doing, but stopping just short of the imprinting step. That is, basically a value-added editorial & copy editing service. Sure they'll keep printing physical books, but I expect the quantities will fall off considerably. I'm one of those who doesn't see p-books going away entirely, but rather becoming more of a niche offering. Rather like e-books have been for some time, now that I think about it.
