Ho yes that's right, the Cool-er, the eSlick, the EB600 or the Elonex, PocketBook 310+ are NOT the same device as the Gen3, that's right. They even NOT been made by the same hardware manufacturer. And I don't count the other unknown chinese vendors that we can see around the web that does sell NOT_clone of the Cybook...

I was thinking at a time that you could work for bookeen, but now, I'm pretty sure you CANNOT even work for them. You say I know nothing, but you seems to know even less than me...

I think you don't have anything to learn to me about computer hardware and software, nor about eBooks software/hardware.

Thanks for give me a good laugh.
Oh geez! Gimme a break! Yes, we *all* know that any of the EB-100/EB-600 family of devices can be made to run Bookeen's firmware. (*I* was one of the first to make an EB-100 run it! I *also* got a Cybook to install the EB-100 firmware - just to say "I did it", but it didn't *stay* EB-100-ized all that long because the EB-100 generic firmware was 'crap'.) I did this without the help of Bookeen and I didn't expect Bookeen to bail me out if things went awry.

However, the sales of Sonys, iLiads, Kindles and Hanlin V3 family are easily larger (combined) than those of the EB-600 family. And now we've got Samsung tossing into the mix. So, yes, you have much to learn about OS and hardware incompatibility. I realize that Bookeen wants hardware sales, but it is unrealistic to assume that those who've bought EB-600 devices *won't* choose to 'jump ship' from their more-limited firmware to Bookeen's ePub firmware.

Which is why I've stated several times that it would behoove Bookeen to deliberately target that section of the ereader market with a standalone SD-based firmware they could sell to just those owners. Remember, Bookeen's already taken the time to develope the firmware, why NOT gain income from the owners of Cool-ers, EB-600s and eSlicks??? The firmware's out there, so getting 'aftermarket' sales of LiveSD versions of it to those who're probably not going to shell out for the Bookeen hardware simply makes sense.
