To expand on JMikeD's answer, sliding the "on/off" switch over does not actually turn it off it puts it to sleep.
Slide it over and hold it over for a few seconds (don't recall how many) in order to turn it off.
Slide it over and hold it for 30 seconds or so in order to reset it.
