Mike, the Sony 505 is a great e-book reader! I was surprised to discover that it made reading even more fun than when reading paper books. (Sounds odd, I know, but most people find themselves reading more than ever!)

The MR forums are the perfect place for you to get information, ask (and receive answers to) questions you might have about the device, about e-books themselves, about converting formats to suit your reader, etc., as well as to just meet a nice friendly group of people who share a similar interest. It's also a great resource for downloading free e-books already in the proper format for your reader, as well as free software for converting books you might already have.

As long as your primary use for the reader isn't large technical PDF's loaded with graphics, the Sony 505 is a perfect choice! I've been using mine daily for almost 6 months now, and my only regret is that I have but 24 hours in my day to read.

Why not tell us a little bit more about your reading habits. This often leads to great suggestions and recommendations for and from everyone!
