I think the bottom line is that you are reading American press about American companies. In that case the "market" is the US.
Heck, I don't get all depressed when I read about new mobile phones that will never come to the US and are only for Japan and Korea.
I for one know that the US is not equal to the world.
I think this is like anything.... it's not fun being on the outside looking in.
