The Reader doesn't support HTML files directly. It does support hyperlinks in PDF documents (but only within a document) and I believe also within Sony's native "BBeB" format too. The way they work is that one moves a highlight cursor between the links on the currently visible page using the "joystick" control on the Reader, and presses it to activate the link. Links are used extensively within, for example, the Reader's manual which is supplied as a PDF file.
