Hi Quek - welcome to the forum!

The "Connect" software is a strange one. Some people seem to have major problems with it - hang ups, crashes, the works - whereas for other people (including me) it works perfectly. I have to agree with you about being able to view files on the Reader while it's connected to USB, though . There's a new version of Connect being released this month, apparently, so perhaps that will address some of these issues.
