I read 'Great Literature' while in high school and and read
only 'Great Literature' in university. I spoke of it at cocktail parties. That was then.

These days I also admit to eating at McDonald's.

I've read (and re-read) everything Stephen Leather has written. Love it! David Baldacci.... hmmm... I've tried two so far and couldn't get into them. I've a couple more to try before I rule him out.

What about Harlen coben and Quintin Jardine? not exactly the same style but very entertaining.

I enjoyed Coben's "Woods" very much, (haven't seen others yet,) but never read Jardine. I'll give that a try. These days I enjoy a simple
page turner just as much, if not more, than the classics. I usually ready one of each (plus some Sci-Fi) at the same time, bouncing back and forth as the mood hits me.
