The bit I read was the concierge describing herself. I have no idea how true it is to the original, but it doesn't read in a laboured way like some translations can do.

I will do - it's published by a company called Gallic Books, whose aim is to bring French books to the UK. I can't see any ebooks on their site, so I'm not holding my breath. But I did mention the original was available as an ebook

It is staggering the amount some publishers charge for ebooks. Hopefully as the market picks up that will change. I can be optimistic at times if I want to be
