If you both share similar interests in reading then you might want to wait for a wireless Sony reader, it will save you some time and money. I already had a K2 so I purchased another K2 instead of a 505 for that exact reason.

However, being a married man I do have to say that you should try a K2 because it's what your wife wants and you can return it if you decide its not for you. If the ONLY reason she wants a Kindle is because of wireless talk with her and tell her there may be a wireless Sony device soon. She might just want to wait.
