My parents and brothers drive HUGE SUV's.

I have always felt that it was a bit of a status thing with them. My oldest brother gets his Escalade as a comp (it's something that's done for NFL coaches as a marketing thing) and I think my parents and younger brother did it to kind of "keep up with the Jones's". I've driven my dad's once and only once and won't do it again. I'm only 5'3" and could barely reach the pedals.

Thankfully it has a rear camera to show where you are going when backing up, otherwise I am sure I would have hit something.
We have a Honda mini-van that we absolutely needed with 3 kids and 3 dogs. We do a lot of traveling between extended family members' homes, Florida, Texas, Louisianna, South Carolina, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, etc., (the US is a pretty big country, after all, and my family is fairly well spread out) and need the van. I hate driving it, though, and finally talked my husband into getting me a 2006 Honda CR-V. It's much smaller but still has a lot of room for grocery and dog hauling.
