Update: He's fine today. We had a commitment to go to last night and we were on pins and needles the whole time. We got back and in his best Vivialdi imitation, managed to convey that he was not amused at being bereft of all the attention he'd been receiving for the past 24 hours. Removed the IV today, which tape also caused tape burn, which then had to be compulsively licked until I put another tapeless bandage on him. This afternoon, he was his usual bouncy self.
