RICH PLAYBOY???? He's a poet (okay, so he has a day job as well). And he doesn't die. But he should have. The records say so. And that's the problem.
It is on the face of it a love story, but it's so much more than that. And the visual creative style of Michael Powel shines through. And Emeric Pressberger's dialogue is wonderful as well. And the swap from colour to mono-chrome is handled so brilliantly.... CURSES. It's too late for me to watch the DVD now.
