There is a good sized difference between the weather in Orlando and the weather in Fort Lauderdale, where I used to live. Thankfully, we got the breezes off of the ocean, so the humidity wasn't as bad as it gets in Orlando. I've been in Orlando in August and pretty much just wanted to stay in the hotel suite, yet I loved being outside on our patio at the same time of year. I will also admit that the heat and humidity bothered me much more when we first moved into the Ft. Lauderdale area than it did when we moved out 8 years later. I truly feel that you get acclimated to the weather in the region after you've been there a while. When we moved to Virginia, it took me forever to get used to the winters and that's even with spending most of my life in the Chicago area.
