EUCH!! And it's not because I'm vegetarian - I'm not - I just try to eat good quality real food, rather than "food products". Actually, I am slowly becoming a vegetarian because it's really hard to find good quality meat. Most of it is too bland, too boring, and just plain not worth my money or cooking time.

On my recent vacation on Iceland I had lamb and horse meat that was über first class... I just can't get this at home - so I make do with vegetables. Good thing for me I like veggies too

May I introduce Michael Pollan - and his great book "In Defense of Food"? The single most sensible down-to-earth writing about food and eating that I've read in years. Can you suggest why exactly we are eating so much crap food as we are? We even feed it to the animals we eat (it's a double up).
