It was a great loss for us Americans when Citroen decide they didn't want to play the US emission controls and safety standards games (read trade embargo without the negative connotations of that name), and stopped exporting them to us.

I recall having seen a couple of Citroens while at University (early sixties) and was impressed by them. I have to admit, they were VERY ugly though!
