Another problem due to the drop down author list. If you have a book with multiple authors, when you open the book to make an edit, it only shows the first author in the author box. If you don't re-add the extra authors they are lost.

For example, let's say I have a book whose authors are listed, in calibre, as:
John Smith & Jane Doe

When I go to edit the meta-information, it only lists:
John Smith
as the author, so if I do anything other than cancel, the author data is overriden and it now will only list John Smith as the author.
