I originally read that as you saying you wanted to wear all your summer clothes, as in at once and all at the same time. Then I re-read it and it made a lot more sense!

no, i just mean i have so many really cute summer dresses, and i want to wear them, but it's far too cold and i'm stuck dressing as if it were october instead of july.

(seriouly, i *love* my summer dresses).

I prefer spring and autumn clothes (and the seasons). summer clothes for me these days have to involve long sleeves. Whereas in my youth I used to go dark brown at the first hint of sun these days I go brown, but with a side order of what looks like prickly heat (but as I don't get it just from heat, only exposure to the sun, I'm not sure)

meh, i do have a few cute autumn skirts i suppose. and i do have some really excellent boots which are not only stylie but also (amazingly) very comfortable *and* warm. but still.
what is prickly heat ? i'm pretty sensitive to the sun as well but i just wear a sunblock factor eleventy hundred or something.

(although if it's hot and humid i might have a bit of a reaction even with the sunblock. but that is the least of my worries because when it is hot and humid i tend to go all woozy and then faint like some overplayed character from a 19th century melodrama. i can't tell you how much i hate that).

I wouldn't have minded, but there was nothing I could do! We had four people around, and a server room you could only get two people into... so I spent a the afternoon gossiping with the HR manager

seems like an afternoon well-spent and a sensible use of the firm's money.
