hm, you know, a few years ago i had a headache that lasted (uninterrupted, and with total resistance to all pain-relieving / headache medicines i took) for months. it was there every single day when i woke up in the morning and it was still there when i went to sleep at night, and i'm sure it was there all night long too but i was thankfully unconscious for that bit.

my doctor treated me for everything she could think of, sent me to the opthalmologist, to the dentist, and had my skull x-rayed to see whether it could be a sinus infection but it defied diagnosis just as effectively as treatment.

in the end it turned out to be stress-related, as she realised when she asked me what else was going on in my life (bad year, particularly at work, where i was being tormented daily by a sadistic boss and co-worker) and how i was feeling in general (not great, since i was also suffering from persistent nausea, losing weight since it's hard to eat when you feel you might be sick, insomnia...).

i ended up leaving that job and eventually got better, but only by treating the cause of the stress, which was not really medical.

headaches can really often be a sign of something going wrong in the head, and i don't mean physically, so it's important to think about those possible causes and try to identify and treat them too.

i hope you figure it out, whatever it is, soon, and get rid of it. i really sympathise, trust me, since i know just what you are going through.
