I agree, what JWolf described is a problem specific for USA, UK maybe. But in my country ereader file format hasn't got to awareness of wider public , and it never will, whilst reader/ereader/eink reader is widely used as a synonym for liseuse (both the translation for the word reader as well as the english word reader).
