I use a miniature miners lamp which has elastic straps to secure it to my head and offers 3 levels of brightness. Yes it looks silly, but it works. My son bought it from Tesco (equivalent'ish to Wal Mart?) about two years ago as a christmas stocking-filler. Great thing is, where I look, there is light!
