Colin Cotterill - Great Books & Gracious Author

Colin Cotterill has created a wonderful series of offbeat mysteries set in post-war Laos in the 1970s featuring Dr. Siri (a 78 year old unretired coroner) solving weird deaths with equally offbeat side-kicks. They are funny, spritual, thought-provoking, and a hoot to read. I highly recommend them to any mystery enthusiast.

His first two books are available at fictionwise in multiformat editions.

I recently emailed him directly to ask if the rest of the series was going to become available as ebooks. Not only did he personally reply to my email, he shared the story how his (now) ex-agent was responsible for the first two books becoming available as ebooks. Apparently, it is now up to Soho whether the rest become available as ebooks. I plan to email Soho for an update.

It is refreshing to get a real, hand-typed (with typos), personal response to an email, rather than a canned response that doesn't really address your questions.
