Most humans don't, except perhaps the "gather" bit, into trolleys.

You raise an unmade argument. I, as non-human, merely and mildly threatened extreme violence upon those who decide to eliminate a species because they don't like it, partly lest they eventually presume to come for me and mine.

Our desire to save all these species is decidedly unnatural.

Again, I made no call for the advocacy of nature. I made call to stop deciding that a species needs to be eradicated, lest I call the PNS down upon you. Decidedly unnatural, but decisively stated.

And no, animals are not necessarily beautiful. Tell that to a warthog. Or a drop bear.

Some of my closest friends are warthogs and dropbears, so if you want to tell a warthog or a drop bear that they are not necessarily beautiful, go right ahead, but my experience is that their philosophy of aesthetics is developed to high levels of relativity and their pride in this concentration has so infused their moral structure that such a view stated so to them is by its nature an ultimate measure of "wrongness" for them and the deepest insult one can offer. So if you want to get warthogged by a warthog, or dropped on by a dropbear, you tell them they're not necessarily beautiful. Me, I think all animals are beautiful, but that doesn't mean I won't doink you in the forehead with a well-aimed banana.
