Hello, does a laptop make sense?

Hello,

I've been thinkering for a while about this e-paper tecnology that is powering most of the latest ebook readers. With current energy crysis, a screen that doesn't need energy (other than refresh) is quite amazing.

Most of the e-paper implementations have been great for reading purposes, considering the great success of most of the devices, and I think there could be more than just reading / browsing.

Imagine a kindle with a full-size-keyboard and a whole lot of software that would let you write-emails/write-documents/chat/browse the web. I think this could be great for people that don't need fancy-graphics, and just need a long lasting battery and easy-on-the-eyes device.

I know there are a lot of disadvantages for such a device, like the inability of using a mouse, the inability of viewing any kind of multimedia, but frankly I would much rather have something designed specifically for my writing.

What do you think?
