I have Sony 700 and love it! I really like the touchscreen capability even though there the screen is not as clear as the 505. I'm not a very patient person, either.

Having worked in a computer technology field, I learned that there is always going to be new technology coming out, so if you continue to wait for the "next best thing", you'll never actually buy anything.

If you really want a reader, go for it! Get the one that best meets your needs now. If you go to this link of the WIKI, you will be able to look up the specs on many different types of readers:
