What is it with the managers of delivery services? "Yes, we'll be there between 9am and 12midday". Then they tell the drivers to do a 400 mile round trip as well as deliver ten items during the 3 hour slot..... I can imagine the dialog: "Well our metrics say you took, on average 27 minutes between deliveries last year, so factoring in our 10% improvement target and a traffic reduction caused by the recession you should be able to deliver each item in 18 minutes. So you can easily manage this load. Oh, and if you drive a little faster, you could also do all the deliveries over in Germany whilst your out this morning.."

So there I was stuck at home and the eventually turned up (very good pair that did an excellent job of getting the item into our house) at about 6:30pm and they still had (I'd recon) about 2 hours of work to do...

And right on cue, just as they opened the lorry, the heavens parted and proceeded to pound our property in a way that would have made Poseidon proud...

I'm going to have to have serious words with Laws' drinking partner next time I'm in Adrian's bar.
