I am unsure if the improvement will be noticeable. It may be a special case that having a 800x600 screen on both devices is an advantage for PDF files generated for that exact resolution. Some people claim that higher than 166 ppi is absolutely essential but they seem to be a small number. I hear no complaints about the larger screens having smaller ppi (and they all do) so it makes me think this may be a non-issue with the majority. Only time will tell.
