Dear Michael, thank you for both the information and you being present in this forum. I really do appreciate your participation in this thread.
But the information given is for me a decision to make my next eBook reader NOT one from Bookeen.
Bookeen seems to be the only company worldwide which offers support for both prc and epub, but which needs two separate firmware versions to achieve that goal. Which is hard for me to accept, since other suppliers obviously seem to manage both formats in one firmware (BeBook and Pocketbook 360°, to name but two).
And as a customer I simply don't care if this is either a legal or a technical problem. I just want this issue to be solved. If not by Bookeen, I'll look around for alternatives (which are out there in 2009, even more in 2010; different from when I first noticed the Cybook back in 2007).
Next, if you do offer two separate versions I can't understand why the prc version took that long if the only existing problems are with the epub version (or Adobe's consent)?
Sorry about the nagging. The Cybook is a solid device, but it's Bookeen I lost faith and trust in.
