I've had my DX for nearly three weeks now and while there are many things to like about it, I do have some disappointments, notably the way it handles PDFs. I got it because of the larger screen size and so-called "native" PDF handling. Changing the orientation helps somewhat, but the inability to control font size etc. leaves them too hard for me to read (I am blind in one eye).
I can also compensate for the DX weight by shifting to the horizontal orientation which makes it a tad easier to balance.
The keyboard size makes it very difficult for me to use and I peck at the keys with fingernails not fingers because they are so small.
If I decide to keep the DX since I do like the larger screen very much, I will probably get a Decagirl skin in a dark tone which should make the e-paper seem lighter to the eye.
I do wish there was also a way to navigate quickly to the end of a document and I haven't found a way to do that expeditiously yet. There must be a shortcut for it somewhere.
Finally, the text to speech function is a real plus for me and I will not be buying any Random House publications because they have specifically disabled TTS.
Oh yes, Folders. Definitely needed for the larger storage capacity in the DX. Nuff said for now.
