Wait, wait, wait! You should get a Sony PSP Data/Charger Cable! This cable plugs into the USB connector on a PC (or USB wall-wort charger), and the other end has BOTH the mini-usb connector (for data transfer) and the PREFERRED round yellow connector for charging. These cables can be found in game stores and department stores for under $10, from several manufacturers. And yes, they WILL work fine with the Reader for both data transfer and charging.

The round connector is MUCH BETTER for charging the Reader--it charges FASTER than the mini-usb connector, it will charge reliably from ANY usb port (unlike the mini-usb plug), and you can also use the Reader while charging this way. I'm really surprised that no one recommended this cable instead of the regular mini-usb cable (which doesn't charge reliably, as noted here oh-so-many times).

I picked up a few of these (just in case) from HK for only about $2 each. (They have a retractable one for about $4.) The site I bought them from is dealextreme.com--I've ordered several things from them and they are reliable; free shipping to the US takes about 2 weeks.
