- One who moderates, restrains, or pacifies.

- "Ruler, governor," from the Latin moderator "manager, ruler, director," literally "he who moderates," from moderatus.

- At Mobile Read, one who foils the spammers, keeps us legal, helps users with software settings and features, "assists" with polls (ahem!), keeps the peace, fosters positive activities, organizes and moves threads, generate ideas for forum improvement, answer questions, and generally, is helpful in keeping MR a fun, pleasant, lively, and relevant place. Also, puts up with a ton of grief and nonsense - all for nuthin'!
