On this one pdf download purchase -- but no more from this source -- I resorted to some convolution. I used ABC Amber to convert the pdf file to Wordperfect (my word processor of past practice), then in Wordperfect removed all the unwanted aspects, saved it as a txt document, which I then converted to html (using GUItenmark). Then using my generally tried-and true method of converting that to Mobipocket with Calibre, I ended up with a reasonably satisfactory product for my BeBook. My remaining dissatisfaction (besides having to work so hard at it) is that I'm not only not getting the full justification format that I prefer and usually achieve with a Calibre html/Mobibook conversion, but am in fact getting the dreaded text-document type of sentences breaking in the middle when there's no need for them to do so (with plenty of space remaining on the line). I've seen elsewhere, I believe in this forum, a way of dealing with that -- a situation I've not encountered in my conversions for some time. But I'll deal with that another day.
