You can read library books on the Kindle, but it does take a little more work and a willingness to strip DRM if you want to read the Adobe format titles.

The 700 is an interesting device. It's gorgeous and has good format support. I love that they added search. I'm a bit miffed they still haven't added dictionary support. Ultimately, I couldn't get past the fuzzy screen. It's worth seeing it in person if you can. If not, make sure the store you buy it from has a good return policy. Some people have no problem with it. Others hate it.
