Given that dealing with either LRF, RTF, or (worst of the bunch) ePub on my Sony PRS-505 is a(n often unsightly) pain, and I have both the capability and the willingness to convert my eBooks to custom-sized PDFs, I could actually see myself very happily settling for a sensibly priced PDF+TXT only eBook reader in a year or two down the road.

Admittedly you are right in noting that for the average person, the value proposition is not an excellent (or even a particularly honest) one.

They really should add Mobipocket support, eh JSWolf?
