In the meantime I'd plug it in and fully charge it - and try to turn it off (hold button over for 30 seconds or so) and back on - see if you can "jump start" it. I've read some posts that the DX is SLOW to recover - but will if given time. Worth a try - if they don't have a replacement one to send you right away.
