I'm going to get serious for a second. I have always been a supporter of Israel and, as an amateur military historian, have spent hour upon hour pouring over the books on her wars for existence with admiration. I even contributed to Israel's defense in my own small way during my time in the US Army.

But, enough is enough and this is too much.

Over the last decade I've watched the Israel of Golda Meir slide deeper into a right wing state with sorrow and concern. As Israel has struggled it has allowed itself to become it's own hobgoblin. It is becoming it's own little version of Nazi Germany. I've written my Congressman and Senators to encourage them to speak out against these actions and to call Israel to account for it's actions before the World Court. I've further requested that they re-evaluate our foreign spending in Israel and cut all funds alloted to Israel in the 2010 budget and prohibit the sales of arms to the state of Israel.

It is time to take a stand in this just as we have taken a stand on torture and for much the same reasons.

I am not interested in debating or discussing this, I just needed to get it off my chest.
