I'm not sure that this is the place to post this, but--
I seem to recall suggestions that Astak (RobertB) contact the Science Fiction Book Club about direct or subsidized sales of an ereader.
Somebody seems to have done this, or something similar.
SFBC is conducting a survey of (some of?) its members concerning ebooks and ereaders.
Specifically, they asked (me, at least--the survey is interactive, and I suspect not everyone gets the same questions) whether I would buy ebooks from them at a price of $7.99 and whether I would buy a dedicated ebook reader, "similar to Kindle or Sony PRS" for $99.99.
Is this a scent in the wind, or does it presage a real plan?
Does Astak have anything to do with it?
