Sorry I wasn't more clear. I got it back a while ago; the sort-by-date hasn't worked since.

Haven't tried a hard reboot. Is that (1) safe and (2) easy? I won't lose any ebooks? (I'd like to not lose my page settings, but admit that it wouldn't be a disaster if I did.)

Does that involve a paperclip and the little spot on the back of the Reader?
