Yay! Finally!

The 4th of July is a big deal for our small town of Mount Morris. Their big annual festival is the "Let Freedom Ring Festival" with lots of activities in the town square, a parade and a great fireworks display for such a small town! If that isn't enough to keep us busy, just across the river in Dixon, where Shel lives is their annual Petunia Festival and all of it's activities! Why both town's festivals are at the same time every year, I'll never know! Of course around here, all of the towns have their own festival sometime throughout the summer and then the county fairs start up towards the latter half of summer! Seems like there's something going on somewhere around us every week!
