DRM doesn't seem to be a problem with this -- I've moved all my files out of Connect and organized them elsewhere using dir/subdir structures, even changed the filenames to something less horrific, no problems. I just either drop the files directly on the Reader from windows explorer, or navigate to them via the drives listed at the bottom left in Connect, depending on which seems best to me at a given moment. No problems with the approach so far.
The DRM just seems to check if the device opening the file is registered to the same Connect Account as the file itself is. I can even read a DRMd file in Connect from the PC's hard-drive just fine ... if I
wanted to do that, that is.
