I used TwonkyVision server with my Omnifi DMS1 over a bad WLAN connection until I discovered that there was a firmware version that would allow it to mount USB hard drives. I had a 120Gb IDE drive lying around and dumped all my music on that, hooking it up with a USB to IDE adapter. Much happier - no network hangs or dropouts anymore.

I planned to hack the firmware myself to support a FTP service so that I could FTP new music to the disk but never got round to that; I just move the disk over to my PC every few weeks and sync it up.
