Oh no, not vegetarians/vegans...

The non-'veg' is made sit at the 'veg' and special diet table (through no fault of his own; special diet category applies).
Suddenly he is under assault for his meat-eating ways. The verbal assault is on in earnest; a friendly meal is turned into a decidedly unfriendly debate about the rights of animals, the amount of materials used to feed animals and how disgusting one is to eat meat.
Save me from the horror!
How do I deal with this dining nightmare next time??
What ammunition should I bring to the table to defend myself against the verbal 'veg' barrage?
