Just finished "
Dr. Offig's Lessons From The Dark Side, Vol. 1." This is by
P.S. Gifford.
If you enjoy short-short stories for a teen market, then this will be a good read. Plenty of sentiment, some clunkers, and some nice jewels. His writing is very good and evocative of real emotion, and with a nice story-sense overall.
I intend to read a few of these to my teenage students, and would recommend this to parents who wish to find a good horror book for their young son or daughter.
To conclude, this book is sanitary-fresh and free of dripping guts, with no dead or rotting cats in the bunch. (Unfortunately.)

(I just now purchased "
The Curious Accounts Of The Imaginary Friend," by
Gifford. This is more for an adult audience. I'll keep my eyes peeled for one fat tubby.)
