Ok, fine.
I learned my lesson from not choosing the right loop in my scripts written for firmware versions 2.7 & 2.7.1, the loops were too feeble what is to do when firmware version is higher the ones which were in my mind.
With firmware 2.8 the old scripts change files what they shoudn't do. I should have set a large stop sign, when firmware check performed by sripts gives other results than 2.7 or 2.7.1.
To all who have problems, because they executed the sripts written for 2.7 or 2.7.1, please download & extract the zip file uploaded in post #100, then click on the entry "Installation of ipdf 2.8" to get back iRex's ipdf of firmware 2.8.
