If you have a chance to try out both the Sony 505 and 700, do so. I compared them at my local bookstore. There were things I liked about both but felt that the 700 met my requirements a little better. Since the reader is a long term investment, make sure you get the reader that is closest to meeting your own personal requirements. I know I would have been happy with the 505 (and my husband would have been happier with the price
) but I knew the 700 was more to my liking. I justified the extra cost because it was a one time purchase that I would be living with for sometime. Good luck in deciding, but, either way, you can't go wrong with a Sony!
