I own all 3 and use all 3. If I had to pick ONLY one, it would be the DX for me - b/c of the screen size. I use Kindles only for reading books, not documents, so the PDF question was not an issue. If you have old(er) eyes or have trouble reading the print size in paperbacks, then the extra $ for the DX IMHO is worth it. The biggest complaint I have with the DX is losing the buttons on the left side of the screen - even though I am right handed, I tend to hold the Kindle in my right hand & use my left to turn pages. Flipping it upside down is awkward for me, but I will continue trying it.

That said, if you want just a really great reader the K2 is the obvious choice. Its functionality over the K1 is its selling point: the K1 is klunky - in physical design, use of dictionary, accessing whispernet, etc. The K2 provides a fine reading screen, great dictionary access, ability to adjust line spacing, etc. If you have young eyes & no problems with the smaller screen size, go for a K2. Just be prepared for lots of page turns.

Browse the threads from early June here - there were quite a few comparisons done - esp. between K2 & DX.
