Am an avid romance reader too, through all genres, but having a paranormal phase lately.
I discovered the IN DEATH books last winter and am totally hooked on all things Eve and Roarke. Soon I'm going to start the 9th.
As for "real" Nora Roberts books I enjoyed the THREE SISTERS ISLAND trilogy a lot and second the QUINN BROTHERS recommendation wholeheartedly. Great books!
But my all time favourite new series must be Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling books. She does a tremendous work in world-building as well as in dephts characterisation. And it's superhot and funny too.
